Booknews

Though this third edition updates and expands discussion concerning applications of cross-sectional imaging, it continues to focus on the use of conventional radiography as a basic and cost-effective modality. Greenspan (U. of California, Davis School of Medicine) leads medical students and residents through chapters on the role of the orthopedic radiologist, imaging techniques, bone formation and growth, and radiologic evaluation of trauma, arthritides, tumors and tumor- like lesions, musculoskeletal infections, metabolic and endocrine disorders, and skeletal anomalies. Additions and revisions are manifold. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
