Overview

Hunter Wild is the youngest in a long line of elite vampire hunters, a legacy that is both a blessing and a curse at the secret Helios-Ra Academy, where she excels at just about everything. Thanks to her friendship with Kieran Black, Hunter receives a special invitation to attend the coronation of Helena Drake, and for the first time, she sees the difference between vampires that must be hunted and vampires that can become friends-or even more. When students at the academy fall victim to a mysterious illness, Hunter suspects they are under attack from within. She will need someone she can trust to help her save the future of Helios-Ra . . . help that shockingly comes in the form of Quinn Drake, a drop-dead gorgeous vampire. Who said senior year would be easy?

VOYA - Robbie Flowers

The Drake family is back and so is vampire heartthrob Quinn. He's hot. Girls love himβ€”and not just the vampire girls. Hunter Wild is a beautiful Helios-Ra Academy student who loves the thrill of vampire hunting and is known for her sense of style. In true Drake Chronicles style, readers will witness the fire of love between a young vampire hunter and newly-crowned vampire royalty, infused with some serious vampire-slaying action. This quick read will keep readers entertained from start to finish. They will be enthralled with these fresh characters and their quest to keep the Hel-Blar vampires from running amok. The series continues to flow as readers get better acquainted with characters they have only been introduced to previously. Familiar faces also return to make the book a well-rounded addition to the series. The characters are fun and upbeat, even in the face of staking vampires until they turn into ash. The plot is fast-paced and engaging. Readers will not mind cuddling up with the third book in the Drake Chronicles and will be looking for more. This book is well-suited to public and school libraries that serve teens thirsty for more vampire action. Reviewer: Robbie Flowers
