Overview

First shown as the 901 prototype at the 1963 Geneva Show, the 911 quickly built on the Porsche legend established by the 356 models. A process of continuous evolution has kept the 911 fresh for nearly 40 years, while impeccable build quality has ensured that most of even the very earliest cars have survived as desirable and usable classics. Features: First book in what will become the definitive 911 (and 912) reference. The author received full cooperation from Porsche. Includes full year-by-year, model-by-model coverage, including all limited editions. Includes rare prototype photographs. International markets covered in great detail. Well over 200 contemporary pictures, mostly in color. Includes contemporary advertising and sales brochure material.
