About the Author:
Dr. Robert Nideffer is one of America's premier sport psychologists. He developed the techniques in Psyched to Win during his work with the 1984 and 1988 U.S. Olympic teams and in his private practice. Dr. Nideffer is the author of more than a dozen books, including Athletes' Guide to Mental Training from Human Kinetics, and serves on the editorial board of such prestigious journals as the Journal of Sport Psychology and The Physician in Sportsmedicine. He earned his PhD in clinical and experimental psychology from Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Nideffer has worked with the Australian Institute for Sport, the Coaching Association of Canada, and the U.S., Canadian, and Australian Olympicteams. In addition to athletes, he is a consultant to multinational corporations, police forces, and the military.
