Recent Advances in Polymer Nanocomposites

This book is a collection of technical papers focusing on the preparation, characterization and application of polymer nanocomposites. The various chapters in the book are written by prominent researchers from industry, academia, and government/private research laboratories across the globe. Different techniques adopted for the preparation of nanocomposites, their methods of characterization and their applications are discussed. The main objective of this book is to summarize in a fairly comprehensive manner many of the recent technical accomplishments in the area of polymer nanocomposites. Sabu Thomas Ph.D. (1987) in Polymer Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, is Professor of Polymer Science & Engineering, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India. Prof. Thomas has (co-)authored more than 300 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and has been involved in a number of books, both as author and editor.
