School Library Journal
K-Gr 3-The first title covers everything from riding on the school bus to fire drills to showing caution when carrying things. The second book deals with behavior around strangers, asking for help, and rules to remember when riding in elevators and on escalators. The books' format consists of double-page spreads devoted to different aspects of the subject, with most if not all of the text on the left and photographs on the right. The writing style of both volumes is informational, yet conversational; the photos are full color, depicting culturally diverse children in situations that mirror the texts. Serviceable additions despite a fair amount of overlap.-Susan Knell, Pittsburgh State University, Pittsburgh, KS Copyright 2000 Cahners Business Information.
