About the Author, Robert Horton

WILLIAM A. JURY is Distinguished Professor of Soil Physics in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of California—Riverside. In 2000, he was inducted into the National Academy of Sciences.

ROBERT HORTON is a professor in the Department of Agronomy at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
