Overview

Noel Richardson seems near perfect, but degrees, wealth, and good genes don't define a man. The CEO of a St. Louis non-profit organization, Noel doesn't respond when women whisper compliments behind his back. It's only God's voice he hears.

His life has been anything but easy since surviving a fireworks explosion that shattered his hearing. Since then, Noel has learned to co-exist between two worlds--hearing and deaf. For years, his Sunday morning worship came courtesy of televangelists. Spiritually, he was dying from the lack of fellowship. But what could he do? Very few churches had what he needed. Then Noel stumbles across an invitation flashing on a portable sign: Thanksgiving service. All are welcome. Deaf ministry provided.

Once inside God's Grace Church, he's captivated by sign language interpreter Mackenzie Norton's graceful hands. To Noel, Mackenzie is exquisite, a steadfast believer, and headstrong. With her, Noel can hear the impossible.

About the Author, Pat Simmons

Pat Simmons considers herself a self-proclaimed genealogy sleuth. She is passionate about researching her ancestors, then casting them in starring roles in her novels. She has been a genealogy enthusiast since her great-grandmother died at the young age of ninety-seven years old.

She describes the evidence of the Gift of the Holy Ghost as an amazing, unforgettable, and life-alternating experience. She believes God is the Author who advances the stories she writes.

Pat has a B.S. in mass communications from Emerson College in Boston, MA. She has worked in various media positions in radio, television, and print for more than twenty years. Currently, she oversees the media publicity for the annual RT Booklovers Conventions. Pat is a motivational speaker and has been a panelist on several workshops that focus on the writing industry.

She is the recipient of numerous literary awards, including The Black Pearls Magazine's 2008 Top Books that Changed Lives for Talk to Me, ranked #14; The Romance Slam Jam Committee's 2008 Katherine D. Jones Award for Grace and Humility; The Romance Slam Jam committee's 2011 Emma Award for Still Guilty as The Best Inspirational Romance of the Year. Her novels have also been nominated for several awards.

Pat is scheduled to release two books in the Jamieson Legacy in 2012, which feature the Jamieson men from her popular Guilty series: Guilty by Association (January) and The Guilt Trip (June). Free From Guilt will be published in 2013.

When Pat is not tracking down her ancestors and writing novels, she's cutting out patterns and sewing clothes to add to her wardrobe.
Pat has converted her sofa-strapped, sports-fanatical husband into an amateur travel agent, untrained bodyguard, and GPS-guided chauffeur. They have a son and daughter.

Pat’s media appearances include television and radio; newspaper and magazine write-ups; blogtalk radio and blog interviews.

Pat, I am religious reader of Christian Fiction. I do want you you the know that this book kept me spell bound. I tried to read a portion, put it down, but found myself going back until I finish it. It was a lot of things including mystery, love, dramatic. I just want you to know I enjoyed it. I have never read anything like that before. Will there be another one as to how their lives together unwind when they started their family with children who can hear? Just a thought. May God contin

I randomly found your book "Talk to me" at Borders a couple of years ago. I am a church signer and found it by accident. I read it and LOVED it. Thank you for writing that beautiful story. God Bless you.

Talk to Me is a great book! I am an avid reader and Talk to Me is one of the best I've ever read. I found myself laughing out loud - sign of a good book, grinning from ear to ear, and then saying "no she did not"! Once I started reading, I couldn't but the book down. The storyline was intriguing and the characters were well developed. I finished it in two days! You definitely will not be disappointed. Pat Simmons is definitely gifted to write a good story! Thanks Pat for sharing your talent with
