Overview
Taming the Dragon is a curriculum guide to Anger Management of Conflict Resolution for three to eight-year- olds. This manual has been specifically designed for preschools, daycares, ECS classes, as well as grades one and two. The book is a preventative program based on the concept that many people resort to physical aggression because they are unable to recognize and express emotions and feelings appropriately. This program presents six feelings which are common to all young children. As the children discuss each feeling, they learn to recognize the feeling when expressed by others and to identify the feeling within themselves. The children then learn appropriate ways to express the emotion and to identify inappropriate ways of expressing the feeling.Synopsis
