About the Author, Michael Schweit

Michael Schweit has been a licensed tile contractor for more than 25 years. He has installed ceramic and stone tiles on a multitude of custom residential projects. Michael has gained an excellent reputation for executing technically challenging projects and for expert troubleshooting. He has apprenticed a number of tile setters to the challenging trade of tile and its craftsmanship. He is also a frequent technical advisor and consultant on projects involving tile restoration as well as tile job failures.

Robin Nicholas has worked as a professional in the tile industry for over two decades. She has worked as a tile installer, apprenticed employees, and served as a consultant. She is a member of the Tile Heritage Foundation, SAMA, and the Potters Council.
