Overview

"Crossing wide stylistic and geographic realms, the images of Terra Incognita exemplify state-of-the-art landscape photography. The key ingredients—unabashed and unfettered love of subject, the land, the terra, and fascination with the mysteries revealed in the careless gestures of our earth—are the common denominators of all. They depict forms and textures that I would most likely not see; they constitute, therefore, revelations."—Tom Till, author of Utah: Magnificent Wilderness

Author Biography: Steve Mulligan is one of the leading photographers of the Great Plains. His photographs are featured in the book Living Landscapes of Kansas (with text by O. J. Reichman), as well as in the "Wild & Scenic" photographic calendar series. He lives in Moab, Utah, with his wife and daughter.

Tom Till's many books include Outcroppings (with John McPhee), American Southwest, Visions of the North, Sacred Images, and Hawaii. His work appears regularly in publications such as Outdoor Photographer, Outside, Wilderness, Sierra, and the New York Times. Nature's Best magazine recently featured him as one of ten masters of American landscape photography.

The book is exciting imagery and pure pleasure, each image pleads with you to stop and explore....Mulligan's work is well thought out and beautifully executed to boot. I highly recommend this book.
