Most readers are familiar with the inquisitive Peter and his narrow escape from Mr. MacGregor. The other three tales are also readily available, but not as well known. In "The Tale of Benjamin Bunny," Peter's cousin drops by and encourages him to return to Mr. MacGregor's garden to retrieve his lost clothes, now adorning a scarecrow. They are trapped by the cat and eventually rescued by Benjamin's father. Benjamin has married Peter's sister in "The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies." One day the tiny bunnies venture into Mr. MacGregor's rubbish heap. After eating heartily of discarded lettuces, they fall asleep and are discovered by Mr. MacGregor who puts them in his sack to take home. Mrs. Tittlemouse aids in their release.
