Synopsis

Discusses the political lives and times of the first six United States presidents, as well as general information about the presidency.

Children's Literature

Blue and Naden are excellent choices for this first volume of a series on the presidents. They cut their teeth together on an earlier collaboration, The White House Kids, and continue to write chatty, readable history for youngsters. Under their pens, mysterious episodes from our early history, such as the Whiskey Rebellion and the XYZ Affair, are simply explained, and the presidents themselves become real people. Part of the "Who's That in the White House?" series.
