School Library Journal

Gr 5-8 Graham has done an able job of showing Edison's brilliance and his eccentricities. The book comes with a password permitting access to a Webliography of related online documents and report resources, and the publisher promises to maintain the list for at least five years. Many of the illustrations resemble Web pages, enticing readers to pursue the topic even after finishing the text. Readers who enjoyed Margaret Frith's Who Was Thomas Alva Edison? (Grosset and Dunlap, 2005) will transition well into this slightly more complex biography, which will augment both report and leisure-reading collections.-Tracy H.
