AGERANGE: Ages 3 to 7.

On the back of the box Magsamen recalls what it was like when she was a kid and had a loose tooth--it brought back memories a,nd we must be in the same age bracket because the going rate for a tooth was indeed a quarter from the Tooth Fairy. The book is chock full of facts about our teeth and it quickly sets kids' minds to rest when they learn that loosing a tooth is something that is natural and happens as we grow up. At the age of three most kids have twenty teeth; however, as you mature the number of teeth in your mouth increases until you have thirty-two. There is a chart that identifies the teeth and the age at which they would normally appear in your mouth. Teeth are very special and complex. They also need to be properly cared for if you want them to last your lifetime. The next section of the book focuses on the origin of the Tooth Fairy, some jokes, and tales about the Tooth Fairy. The book ends with a description of an activity using the materials that come with the book and a list of other books both fiction and nonfiction about teeth and the Tooth Fairy. The book slips out of the front cover of the box and the box can be used to store baby teeth, a toothbrush, or whatever strikes the child who gets it as a gift. There are even Tooth Fairy note cards, and tooth charts, as well as the satin pillow to tuck under your pillow when you lose a tooth. Don't forget to write a note to the Tooth Fairy!
