Synopsis

The book contains black-and-white illustrations.

Henriette leGrand

This updated third edition is supported with a workbook and step-by-step treatment planning guide. The first and second editions were published in 1985 and 1993. The purpose is to provide treatment plans for major communication disorders. The audience is students and beginning clinicians. The best feature of this book is the organization and coordination that pairs theory and practice, treatment paradigms, selection of target behaviors, treatment variables, stimulus control, generalization, and maintenance, with examples of various levels of response complexity. The accompanying workbook provides specific target words, phrases, and sentences for rehabilitation options at various stages of communication development. There were no shortcomings. This edition is a comprehensive, informative guide with practical suggestions and examples for service delivery. I highly recommend this book for beginning clinicians and graduate students.
