Overview

This is a book of self-assessment questions based on the current medical literature, with full references to recent papers and full explanatory answers. The questions are based on research papers and reflect the increasing importance of basic science in clinical medicine. The book contains useful appendices to assist candidates in their exam preparation. For the Second Edition the format of the questions will be a mixture of true/false multiple-choice questions, best of five questions and viva-style questions, thus making the book suitable not just for the new format of the MRCP Part 1 exam but also for the PACES clinical exam.
