Overview

Educators today are presented with data from multiple sources, including national, state, and local assessments as well as curriculum mapping processes. Effective methods for utlizing this data to inform decision making and ultimately improve student learning is the focus of this book by data experts Bena Kallick and Jeff Colosimo.

Kallick and Colosimo show readers the essential questions to ask about the curriculum, the data, and instructional and assessment techniques and how technology can drive the process. They include real-life examples of districts using these techniques successfully. In addition, the book shows how technology can be used to help schools access and process data, and make effective decisions based on the data.
