Publishers Weekly

Evangelical Christians who are looking to incorporate some of their Sunday piety into their Monday-to-Friday routine might appreciate this book, which is part devotional and part self-help manual. Hall, the host of a "faith and values" program on the Hallmark Channel's Sunday morning lineup, outlines seven steps to spiritual success: making God the "Chief Authority" in your life; knowing his Word, the Bible; practicing Christ-like attitudes and actions; learning the value of prayer at work; enjoying your daily tasks; surrendering your will to God's; and sharing God's love "with boldness and without shame." The book is intended as a seven-month, interactive workbook, with Scripture verses and, of course, journal exercises. There is little here that is original; the only reason this spirituality-at-work manual is slightly different from the host of others like it on the market is its very specific targeting of a conservative Christian audience.
