The geography, history, economics, government, and culture of Wisconsin are presented in well-written chapters. The six maps throughout the book are commendable and lend smart support to the text. A recipe for Norwegian Pancakes is a nice touch. Back matter includes an almanac, a historical timeline, famous Wisconsinites, a glossary, web sites and book titles, and an index.
