Synopsis
To add a new perspective on the therapeutic relationship, Mearns and Cooper use the concept of "relational depth," which they define as profound contact between two people in which each person is "fully real with the Other." They combine case material and conceptual analysis to examine different aspects of relational depth and to show how it might be facilitated. The volume includes data from the authors' in-depth interviews with eight person-centered therapists and trainers. Annotation © 2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
