About the Author, Mikhail Gorbachev

Mikhail Gorbachev, the former General Secretary of the Soviet Communist Party and the last President of the Soviet Union, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1990 for his diplomacy leading to the end of the Cold War. Daisaku Ikeda is the spiritual leader of Soka Gakkai International, and the author of over 80 books on Buddhist themes.

Angeles Arrien, Ph.D., is an anthropologist, author, educator, and corporate consultant. She lectures and conducts workshops worldwide, showing the bridge between cultural anthropology, psychology, and comparative religions. Her work reveals how indigenous wisdoms are relevant to our families, professional lives, and our relationship to the Earth.
