Alan's professional experience includes 8 years of drafting with structural engineers and 25 years as a professional building designer. He is the owner of Residential Designs and co-author of several standard reference works, including Residential Design, Drafting and Detailing; Architectural Drafting and Design; Print Reading for Architectural and Construction Technology; Commercial Drafting and Detailing; and AutoCAD for Architecture.
