A window cut through a picture of a storage shed the cover, which shows a bulldozer on the title page of this board book, will entice young readers/listeners to pick the book from the shelf. As in Bedford's similar book with opposites called Tractor! Tractor!, this book has fun and colorful illustrations of friendly-faced diggers. There are different kinds of diggers, and they are used anywhere from the beach to a playground to a road construction site. The text is fast-moving with each page ending in a rhyme. This book can be used to teach preschoolers opposites with text and illustrations of paired opposites on opposing pages. Although the direct comparison of the words can get lost in the rest of the text, the opposites are in capital letters so that the teacher/reader can go back and point them out after reading each page.
