About the Author, Jeff Kurtti

Lauren Child is the author/illustrator of several acclaimed books for children, including the Clarice Bean books, and the Charlie and Lola books, which inspired the hugely popular television series. Her Hyperion titles include the beloved Princess and the Pea and Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Book?

Photographer Polly Borland collaborated with Lauren on The Princess and the Pea. She is a renowned photographer in England, whose portrait commissions include the Queen, politicians and pop stars. Her photography has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London as well as in her native Australia.
