Synopsis

In 1968, a Catholic priest was murdered and mutilated in what appeared to be a Black Mass. His blood was used to scribe the letters E-L-I-Z-O-P-H-I-A-L on the wall in the chapel. Thirty-five years later, Lucas Cross is just out of high school and preparing for the rest of his life when he stumbles across the personal stories of three individuals claiming to have had an experience with a paranormal phenomenon known only as "Elizophial." Instantly drawn to the stories, Lucas Cross develops an unhealthy obsession that takes him from his hometown to a small town in Texas and later to Denver and Chicago as he chases what he has come to believe is a demon. Risking his life and the safety of the people he cares about, Lucas Cross searches for evidence that could prove the existence of demons, and perhaps the existence of God Himself.
