K-Gr 3-- Another agriculture-related import that should not have made the crossing. The vocabulary is adequate for average second- or third-grade readers; the colorful cover is enticing; and some of the illustrations of old tractors are fascinating. However, parts of the text use incorrect terminology, while other statements are misleading. Some of the illustrations are inaccurate in depicting implements in this country. At least one caption is technically incorrect. A few of the illustrations do not relate to the text. The drawings make this an attractive book which children might enjoy browsing through, but the value of its content is lost. --Eldon Younce, Harper Elem . Sch . , KS
