About the Author:
Daniel Moreton is the illustrator of more than twenty books, many of them designed for emergent readers, and nearly all of them featuring his vibrant computer artwork. His book La Cucaracha Martina won the 1998 Small Press Book of the Year award. Daniel Moreton graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, in 1991. He lives in New York City with his dog, Gomez.

Gil the ant can't figure out where he is. As he moves around in his environment, kids get a look at various objects and can make their own guesses. They will feel proud when they figure out where Gil is before he arrives at the same answer. This particular adventure takes place in the kitchen, starting in the kitchen sink. Eventually Gil makes it safely outside where he rejoins his friends. A very early reader that will appeal to Antz movie fans as well as others. The introduction describes the levels in the "Green Light Reader" series and provides some helpful tips to those working with kids. There is also a very brief blurb and photo of the illustrator.
