Gr 2-6 A colorful cover, a readable text, and clear photographs are the components of this introduction to nuclear energy. A definition and history of nuclear energy, pros and cons of the current situation, and a look at the future are included in the short text. Fradin spends four times as much space on the problems and disadvantages of nuclear energy as on the positive aspects. It's unfortunate that the author's last question, ``What do you think?'' is not accompanied by a bibliography of additional resources. Nonetheless, Nuclear Energy is a thoughtful introduction that will interest and motivate beginning and/or slow readers. Andrea Antico, Aurora Hills Middle School, Colo.
