Purpose: The purpose of the book is to provide comprehensive coverage of specialized orthopedic positions and projections. With the increase in orthopedic subspecialties, a text like this is truly needed. The author covers many specialty positions and presented them in a very precise and understandable format.
Audience: Every radiology department should have a copy of this book for its staff technologists. It is an excellent reference for special orthopedic positions. In addition, any radiography program could supplement a procedures class with this book.
Features: A picture is worth a thousand words, and this book with its anatomic drawings and radiographs brings image evaluation to a new level. The case studies are excellent. The layout is very logical and easy to follow. The icons as a guide to positioning along with the position drawings makes for a quick reference that can be used in the clinic or hospital setting.
