Synopsis

In this book in the Kids Can Do It series, easy knitting projects are so fast you’ll want to make several of each!

Children's Literature

This beginners knitting book will give older children hours of enjoyment. The first part of the book teaches basics of knitting with written directions and detailed illustrations. These illustrations are important so that the young crafter will learn how to correctly hold a knitting needle and yarn while making the project. After the basic directions, the book has many projects, including a scarf, hat, backpack, wallet, pillow, foot mat, slippers, and even a sweater. Each project gives the name, a photograph of what it will look like when it is finished, step-by-step directions with illustrations, and a list of what materials are necessary to complete the project. Children who are just learning this skill can utilize this book for directions and understanding about what to do to make a knitting project. This book would be a good addition in a home economics classroom or a public library.
