This book is part of the "Colors in Nature" series that teaches children how to recognize certain colors as they are found in nature. This particular edition shows various photographs of red things such as flowers, sunsets and insects. The type is very large and easy to read. All the photographs are bright and colorful while the text is straightforward. The series is intended for young children in order to learn to identify the color red and associate it with what they see in their surroundings. Specifically, this book tries to familiarize children with things in the natural environment and the images are classified according to categories, i.e., animals, birds and food. There is a glossary in the back for a few vocabulary words. Readers will find various questions throughout the book and the answers are provided at the end.
