Gr 3-5-In these brief overviews, the authors discuss a broad range of topics pertaining to each body of water, including geology, climate, animal and plant ecology, and human interaction with each ocean or sea. The layout is clear and logical. The information is cursory, but the vocabulary is complex, making the simple format somewhat misleading. Each volume has fair-quality maps and generic photographs.
