Overview
Maya is a powerful and complex 3D graphics program thatchallenges the skills of the most-seasoned professionals. Maneuvering the Maya terrain successfully requires solid skills and a thorough understanding of 3D techniques. The Maya 4 Handbook provides both of these, by weaving the Maya interface and features with a detailed overview of the key areas of graphics. Everything from modeling and texturing, to animation, character animation, rendering, and paint effects is thoroughly covered. Using hands-on tutorials, users put Maya to work and gain a thorough understanding of how and why the features work. With this approach, beginning users can dive into Maya quickly, and experts migrating to Maya can master the program more efficiently.
