Overview

Lenski and Black, both affiliated with Illinois State University, present material reporting on projects initiated by the Illinois Professional Learners' Partnership (IPLP), a project which sought to prepare future teachers for high-need schools and to strengthen teacher candidates through improved technology, collaborative partnerships, and clinical and field experiences. There are also chapters contributed by those not involved in IPLP. Some areas discussed are the use of ethnographic practice to prepare culturally responsive teachers, international collaborative partnerships, and faculty collaboration to improve the writing of early childhood education preservice teachers. There is no subject index. Annotation Β©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
