The "Ace Your Physics Science Project" series includes five titles to help older elementary school students explore a variety of topics for general education as well as specifically for science fair projects. Science is the study of things happening around us at all times. It is possible for anyone to be a scientist. Scientists are careful observers and conduct research based on questions they have about how things work. Each scientific question may require a different method but they all share a common approach to experimentation, the scientific method. This involves making an observation, asking a question, coming up with a possible answer to that question, conducting an experiment, analyzing the results, and reaching a conclusion. This book presents a range of questions and subsequent methods to explore weather-related phenomenon with easily available materials. Barometers, the sun's position and temperature, air pressure, measuring rainfall, the water cycle, the shape and size of rain drops, and acid rain are a few of the a topics presented in the context of an experiment to be completed by young students.
