Each page of this rectangular-shaped board book displays cute kitties. The pictures show that kittens are naturally inquisitive, love to move like the big cats stalking prey in the grass, hissing when alarmed and kissing when happy. One picture that I always associate with cats is a picture of a kitten stretched out on the floor while the sunshine from a window frames his or her body. Kittens love to eat, drink from a faucet, doze and cuddle with each other. Some of the pictures show more mature-looking cats than what one might normally consider as a kitten. Fun for kids who have a pet cat or just have an interest in the feline family. 2004, Tricycle Press/Ten Speed Press, Ages 1 to 3.βMarilyn Courtot
