Photographs of piglets fill the pages of this board book. The pigs are pictured nuzzling, crawling atop each other to cram themselves into a tub, gazing, or lazing about and eating. The close-up shots of piglets grunting, hunting, and soaking in the mud will catch kids' attention. The pigs are cute when babies, but there is not much information about how big these porkers will grow. There is also no mention of their intelligence. Nevertheless, it is a pleasant offering for kids who enjoy looking at realistic baby animals. 2006, Tricycle/Ten Speed Press, Ages 6 mo. to 3.—Marilyn Courtot
