The 2019 Books.org Scholarship

The Books.org Scholarship is available to any currently-enrolled undergraduate or postgraduate student. Each year we invite students to explore issues involving literature and books in general. To be elligible for the prize you must provide proof of enrolment in a course from an accredited tertiary institution, college or university.

The winning essayist will receive $3,000 towards tuition or study expenses.

Applications close on the 31st of January 2020.

Essay Topic

In an essay of at least one thousand (1,000) words, please address the following topic;

“As a student who will soon graduate and become our future, where do you see the role of books in education twenty years from now?”

Publishing Your Essay

You may choose to publish your essay on Books.org for our audience to enjoy, and potentially be shared and published by other organizations and journals.

Selection Criteria

The Books.org Scholarship is awarded by our selected panel of judges to the to the most insightful, inspiring, articulate and persuasive essay. The winning applicant will be notified by the 29th of February 2020.

How to Apply

To apply, simply email your essay in either PDF, Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, or a compatible format to before the deadline of the 31st of January 2020.

Please note that if you are awarded the prize you will be required to provide proof of enrollment at a tertiary institution, college or university.
